The pond is the heart of it.
Wade in from the sandy shallows, swim out to the rock, or float until someone calls you in for dinner. In winter the same view goes white and silent, and the sauna house at the water's edge becomes the best room on the property.
Beyond the lawn the woods run back for acres — trails to walk, hills to sled, a red barn, and very little cell service. Which is an excellent excuse to stop checking your phone.

With six bedrooms and a den, four baths, two fireplaces, a sauna and a large private pond beautifully situated on sixty-seven acres of woodland, the Grafton Chateau is the perfect comfortable base for a week with everyone you'd want to bring. There is room here for all of you to be together, and room for any one of you to disappear for an hour.
