These are our houses too
We're two families who have been friends for thirty years. We bought these three homes so we could holiday together — and we still use them ourselves, which is the single fact that explains everything else about them.
We were looking for a way for our families to vacation together in beautiful and comfortable surroundings.
After coming to Southern Vermont for years we decided to make this area our home away from home. What started as one house became three: a mid-century modern house with a pool outside Springfield, an 1856 Italianate mansion in the village of Wallingford, and a secluded chateau on sixty-seven acres in Grafton.
Because these are the houses we bring our own families to, they're stocked the way you'd stock your own place rather than a rental. Real knives and a Kitchenaid mixer. A pantry of spices you're welcome to raid. Cribs, high chairs, and a wardrobe of games and art supplies. A garage of snowshoes, sleds, and lawn chairs for whatever weather you get. Nothing here is behind a laminated card telling you not to touch it.

The things we decided to care about
- Stocked like a home
- Proper kitchens with proper equipment, a pantry you can cook from the moment you arrive, towels and linens for everyone. We restock it because we use it.
- Room for everyone
- The three sleep ten, fourteen, and fourteen — with enough bathrooms and enough separate sitting rooms that a big group stays pleasant.
- Kids genuinely welcome
- Cribs, high chairs, toddler beds, playrooms, puzzles, art supplies. Use everything, and don't worry if something breaks.
- Gear for the weather
- Snowshoes, sleds, and Adirondack chairs in the garage. Vermont gives you four distinct seasons and the houses are ready for all of them.
- Restored, not flipped
- A 1962 Brewster and an 1856 Italianate on the National Register. We kept what mattered and quietly added central air.
- We answer ourselves
- No agency and no call centre. Message us through Airbnb or email us, and one of us reads it — usually the same day.
